Expectations

What we want to see:
  • Experience working as a Technical Artist
  • Strong knowledge of Unity, including hands-on experience with SRP/URP and Addressables/Asset Bundles.
  • Solid understanding of mobile rendering, including mobile GPU architecture, the limitations of modern devices, and the specifics of different graphics APIs.
  • Experience with profiling and optimization: identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks (CPU spikes, GPU overdraw, memory leaks, etc.).
  • Experience working with 3D graphics: understanding the asset creation pipeline and how to optimize assets without compromising visual quality.
  • Shader development skills: understanding how Vertex and Fragment shaders work, with the ability to prototype and build shaders
Additionally, it would be great to have:
  • Experience writing and optimizing shaders in HLSL
  • Proficiency in C# sufficient to develop useful Unity Editor tools and utilities
  • Experience with external profiling tools such as Xcode, ARM Streamline, or similar
  • Hands-on experience with Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, Substance Painter, or Substance Designer
What you will be doing:
  • Research & Development: Explore new rendering and graphics technologies, validate ideas through prototyping, and integrate the most effective solutions into the production pipeline
  • Profiling & Optimization: Identify and eliminate CPU, GPU, and memory bottlenecks using Unity’s built-in tools (Profiler, Frame Debugger, Memory Profiler) as well as external tools (Xcode, ARM Streamline, RenderDoc, etc.)
  • Memory & Asset Management: Optimize build size, configure Addressables and Asset Bundles, monitor RAM usage, and identify and resolve memory leaks
  • Technical Content Validation: Review new scenes, assets, and features created by artists to ensure they meet the project’s technical requirements before integration
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with artists and graphics programmers to achieve the best balance between visual quality and performance
  • Documentation: Create and maintain clear technical documentation, guidelines, and best practices for the art team
