Expectations
- Designing, launching, and maintaining a monitoring platform across different infrastructure layers, including enriching alerts from multiple sources
- Building and improving incident management processes, including defining and implementing severity prioritization
- Creating visualization systems, including automation for generating dashboards
- Deep experience with the Prometheus stack and Prometheus compatible systems
- Advanced knowledge of Grafana, including dashboards and alerting
- Experience with logging systems such as Loki or similar tools
- Understanding of Kubernetes metrics and how they are collected
- Strong Linux knowledge, including system metrics, node exporter, and troubleshooting
- Experience working with infrastructure, including bare metal and hybrid environments
- Understanding and practical use of SLI and SLO principles
- Experience building monitoring systems from scratch
