Expectations
- Experience as a Monetization Game Designer, Economy Designer or Systems Designer on a live product
- Strong understanding of F2P monetization systems, economy design, progression, pricing and player motivation
- Experience designing meta-systems and monetization features that support long-term engagement, retention and revenue
- Ability to work with complex interconnected systems: currencies, sinks and sources, progression, rewards, offers, stores, battle passes, subscriptions, gacha systems and so forth
- Ability to balance player experience and business goals without damaging long-term product health
- Strong documentation skills, including the ability to describe complex systems clearly from concept to implementation and keep living documentation up to date
- Ability to define clear game requirements and communicate design decisions to developers, artists, analysts, product managers and producers
- Willingness to work iteratively: validate hypotheses, analyze results, incorporate feedback and improve systems after launch
- Ability to make independent design decisions within the established product vision and monetization strategy
- Experience managing tasks in Jira or similar tools
- Experience working with analytics and analytical tools
- Ability to interpret product metrics and derive actionable design insights from data
- Experience with simulation, MMO or other economy-heavy genres
- Understanding of player segmentation, payer behavior, conversion funnels and offer personalization
- Owning monetization and economy-related features from concept to post-launch optimization
- Creating monetization mechanics that are deeply integrated into the game’s meta, economy and player goals
- Working closely with product managers, analysts, developers, artists and producers to turn concepts into clear, implementable features
- Balancing feature design with player experience, business impact, long-term retention and overall product health
- Analyzing the performance of implemented solutions and driving further improvements based on data and player behavior
- Creating and maintaining detailed documentation throughout the entire feature lifecycle
