Expectations
- Full ownership experience of the audio direction for a game project
- Experience leading sound designers
- Experience working with FMOD, ideally in combination with Unity
- Experience using Git or other version control systems on large scale projects
- Practical experience with DAWs such as Ableton or similar tools
- Experience organizing and managing large volumes of audio files within a project
- Deep understanding of sound design and audio production workflows
- Understanding of mixing and mastering processes, with the ability to choose appropriate solutions for different voiceover and sound tasks
- Experience working on 3D multiplayer projects with voice chat and spatial audio systems
- Experience optimizing audio for mobile platforms such as iOS and Android
- Experience with iZotope and Sound Forge tools
- Conversational English for working with an international team
- Defining, owning, and documenting the project’s audio vision
- Managing a sound designer and building the audio department
- Collaborating with external composers to create original music for the game
- Working hands on in the engine and audio tools to implement sound effects and music
- Selecting and licensing tracks and sound assets, and integrating them into the project
- Optimizing audio content for different platforms and ensuring consistent quality
