Expectations
- 5+ years of experience in Narrative Design, with a strong focus on online, multiplayer, live-service, open-world, or sandbox games;
- At least one shipped mobile or PC title as a Lead Narrative Designer, or a strong portfolio demonstrating the required narrative design expertise;
- A hands-on professional who is willing and able to actively create content, not just provide creative direction;
- Fluent Russian (the team’s primary working language);
- Strong working proficiency in English for cross-functional collaboration with international teams;
- Experience working on online and roleplay (RP) games where narrative functions as a system, not just a linear story;
- Experience creating culturally sensitive content and collaborating with regional cultural consultants.
- Define and maintain the project’s Narrative Vision, Lore Bible, Faction Bible, Character Bible/Cast, and Narrative Backbone;
- Adapt the global narrative to different cultural regions featured in the product (US, Gulf region, LATAM) in collaboration with regional cultural supervisors;
- Design the narrative layer for the FTUE (First-Time User Experience) for each region, including structure, story beats, quest texts, and dialogue;
- Write event narratives, lore-related UI content, item, location, and NPC descriptions, as well as content for the in-game social network;
- Prepare narrative briefs for the World Production team, explaining the purpose, meaning, and intended player experience of each location;
- Coordinate with regional cultural supervisors and review their deliverables;
- Maintain a single source of truth for all narrative documentation;
- Help build and mentor the narrative team as it grows.
