Expectations
- Strong mathematical and analytical background
- Three plus years of experience in roles such as Lead, Head, or Product Owner in Economy or Balance
- Deep understanding of F2P monetization mechanics in mobile games, including virtual currencies, in app purchases, pricing, and funnels
- Experience working on MMOs, simulators, or games with complex multi layer economies
- Strong systems thinking, with the ability to understand how changes in one parameter impact the entire economy
- Ability to work in a cross functional environment and clearly communicate economic requirements to designers, developers, and product managers
- Experience building and developing teams
- Experience working as a product analyst
- Personal experience playing life simulators, role play games, or sandbox MMOs, with a deep understanding of the genre
- Experience participating in the launch or major rebalance of a live product with an audience of over one million users
- Experience working on projects with player driven economies, including marketplaces, auctions, and player to player trading
- Driving the development of the game economy, including defining the overall economic vision of the project
- Ensuring consistency of the economy across the entire product
- Leading and developing balance designers, including hiring, conducting reviews, and providing feedback
- Implementing and improving tools for effective analysis, modeling, and monitoring of the game economy
